Some of you may think that it is impossible to bird watching in Los Angeles or in any other city. However, there are places you can visit making it possible for you to enjoy this hobby.

The Arboretum is the first Los Angeles County. It is a garden of 127 hectares which is the flowering plant and trees of life which makes it an ideal place for birds to live. Here you'll see 200 peacock birds were imported from India and some peacocks.

Another place is the Los Angeles Oiled Bird Care Center, and education. It is a 10,000 square foot facility that can accommodate 1,000 birds at a time.

Approximately 40,000 children visit this place every year. Customers can see outdoors in two large aviaries that house pelicans. They even have a hospital for birds that have been found and taken to the health care consultant in the display.

You can also visit the Audubon Center at Debs Park. Regarded as one of the most environmentally friendly buildings of the nation, is home to coyotes and about 138 species of birds.

Of course, a place you can not do birding is the Los Angeles Zoo.

Examples Condor de los Andes, African Fish-Eagle Chilean Flamingo Egret, Mandarin Duck, Laughing Kookaburra, plush crested Jay, Military Macaw, Red hornbill Knobbe, Sacred Ibis, thick billed parrot, ostrich, Congo Peacock, peacock blue, the Rave, Pink Spoonbill, Black Swan, Inca Tern, Lady Ross'sTuraco, Cape Vulture, Cape Griffon vultures and many more.

But if you want birds to make a comment without having to pay entrance fees or parking, driving around town and maybe you have seen especially around the campus of UCLA who is in the Westwood area of Los Angeles.

Can be found birds in the fight against the floods in the basins of Los Angeles, especially near the hills and Montebello, near Hansen Dam. Here are Nighthawks, Roadrunners, Costa Hummingbirds, Cactus Wren and the loggerhead Shrike.

The Boreal forest is also home to 60 species of migratory birds particularly during the winter season. You could see white wings and surf scoters diving for clams and mussels along Newport Beach or Golden Crown Sparrow all the way from Canada to the Yukon.

If you like bird watching, you can join groups that sponsor travel and training to their colleagues. Some of them are Los Angeles Audubon Society, West Los Angeles Bird Club, the Parrot Society of Los Angeles and the Society of the Golden Bird Country. Meetings are held monthly. You can send questions by e-mail or visit their website.

When bird watching alone or with a group, be sure to provide all the hardware you need a pair of binoculars, a pen, a journal a hat, backpack and a digital camera. You may share this information with other members at the next meeting so that you become a participant active and not just someone who sits in the back and listen to what others have to say.

The places mentioned merely to show that it is still possible make bird watching in Los Angeles, even if it is a bustling city. So, check these places and have fun.
